Job Summary

A client of Innova Solutionsis immediately hiring a Facilities Technician

Position Type: Full-time contract Possible Contract to Hire
Duration: 12months
Location: Herndon VA 20170 (Onsite/ 1^st shift/7AM-4PM)

As a Facilities Technician you will:

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilities maintenance and operations supporting several suites within one facility.

Essential Functions:

Performs basic maintenance activities such as but not limited to changing plumbing repairs electrical device installations temperature adjustments wall/door repairs and service requests.
Performs preventive maintenance and monthly safety inspections of assigned building promptly reporting any maintenance issues to Facilities Manager.
Supports conference room set-ups and teardowns.
Supports Facilities moves furniture installations and reconfigurations.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests as directed by the Facilities Manager.
Performs detailed and accurate record keeping.
Promotes effective work practices works as a team member and shows respect for co-workers.
Supports the overall goal of maintaining a neat clean and comfortable work environment.
Performs other duties as required.
Follows Safety Health and Environmental policies and procedures.

Ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
Proficiency in Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LO/TO) procedures.
Demonstrated customer service skills and team player
Physical requirements include climbing ladders extended seating or standing or other physical efforts.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Basic mechanical or handyman aptitude.

Will need to work outside inside walking building and grounds. Exposure to exterior elements to include cold wind and heat.

Initiative and self-motivated.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $35-$40/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.
