Facilities Operations Specialist

Job Summary
The Facilities Operations Specialist will provide support services at CMIs customer site in Washington DC across multiple operational areas including transportation inspections inventory management customer service and general administrative support.
Key Job Functions
- Perform daily walk-throughs inventories and assessments of the building to determine equipment facility or service deficiencies; missing or damaged equipment office items and furniture tenant violations; conduct follow-up assessments to determine if submitted work orders were completed and tenant violations were remedied
- Perform relief communication center support; answer routine questions and direct callers to appropriate staff; monitor receive prioritize and route building service requests submitted; perform quality assurance checks on service requests; serve as a central point of contact for security and building emergency personnel.
- Provide support for 3rd party vending machines contract maintenance and suppliers; escort vendors and service/supply providers act as liaison between building occupants and vendors to process requests for service of 3rd party vending machines.
- Provide transportation services; delivery of packages and mail between locations in the Washington Capital District; drive authorized personnel within the Washington Capital District.
- Perform operational checks (expiration dates pressure gauges locks safety pins etc.) on fire extinguishers defibrillators eyewash stations and other safety equipment.
- Follow up on submitted work orders and provide quality assurance of completed emergency and urgent service calls.
- Attend customer meetings as directed to provide feedback analysis metrics and ad hoc reports based on the deliverables and quality control inspections.
- Assist as required in setting up for special events distinguished visitors programs and activities to include preparation of the orderly appearance of entrances hallways and event site.
- Provide status reports to the customer as required
Qualifications :
- High school diploma is required; BA degree is preferred
- At least 5 years of strong administrative and office management experience
- Must have a current drivers license and good driving record
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
- Ability to solution and think outside the box
- Ability to prioritize and work successfully in a demanding environment
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter and ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Strong dedication to providing excellent customer service
- Experience with Microsoft Office; inventory management systems is preferred
