The Facilities Mechanic II is responsible for ensuring the safe reliable and efficient operation of all building systems throughout the property. This role plays a critical part in maintaining mechanical electrical and lifesafety equipment through proactive inspections preventative maintenance and timely repairs. Your technical expertise and ability to respond quickly to operational issues directly support the comfort and safety of guests and Team Members while protecting the propertys assets. By upholding established maintenance standards and addressing facility needs with urgency and precision you help ensure seamless daytoday operations across Live! Casino & Hotel.

Shift: Swing 3:00pm-12:00pm

Where Youll Make an Impact:

• Responsible for operation repair and maintenance of the Casino Hotel and Event spaces.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Perform inspections and tours repairing or reporting any issues.
• Able to make building repairs such as drywall wallpaper flooring ceiling and furniture as needed.
• Monitor building fire alarm temperature control lighting and access systems.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks power or HVAC outages or fire alarms.
• Other duties as assigned

Skills to Help You Succeed:

• General knowledge of building systems including electrical HVAC fire/life safety plumbing and lighting.
• Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

Must-Haves:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Some technical school training and certification is preferred
• Requires Grade 3 Stationary Engineer license.
• Three (3) years of building maintenance experience.
• A valid drivers license may be necessary.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid non-gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting standing bending and walking.
• Lifting (Overhead arms length up to 25 lbs. assisted lifting may exceed 200 lbs.)

• Pushing and pulling
• Climbing
  

Working Conditions:

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
• Exposed to alcohol cigarette and cigarr smoke bright lights and loud noises.
• You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
• All facilities on property. Some confined areas. Exposed to hot and cold temperatures consistent with the changing seasons. Varied weather conditions fumes and chemicals used in maintenance.

Please note that this is a union position and individuals in this role may be required to pay applicable union dues and fees.

Please note that this is a union-represented position and scheduling is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Team Members may be required to participate in shift bids and shift assignments may change based on operational requirements and Team Member seniority.
