Job Summary
MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee operations at a large manufacturing facility. This is a highly visible client-facing role responsible for facility operations contractor management budgeting repairs team leadership and overall site performance.
The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing facilities experience excellent communication skills and the ability to independently manage day-to-day operations in a complex industrial environment.

The Facilities Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related operations and will maintain regular face-to-face communication with client leadership and site stakeholders.
This position requires someone who can manage building operations coordinate contractors and vendors oversee repairs manage budgets lead facility personnel and ensure the site remains safe compliant efficient and operational.
Experience managing facilities in a manufacturing or industrial setting is more important than specific certifications or licenses.
Oversee daily facility operations across manufacturing and office environments
Serve as a primary point of contact for client leadership and site stakeholders
Maintain strong professional face-to-face communication with the client
Manage facility maintenance repairs projects and operational priorities
Develop manage and track facility operating budgets
Monitor expenses forecast costs and identify budget variances
Manage contractors and third-party vendors including scheduling scope review performance and quality of work
Coordinate repairs and maintenance across mechanical electrical plumbing structural and general facility systems
Ensure facility issues are addressed promptly and escalated appropriately
Lead and support facility management and maintenance personnel
Establish work priorities and ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently
Conduct routine inspections of manufacturing office and exterior areas
Identify potential operational safety or maintenance risks before they impact production
Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs
Minimize facility-related disruptions to manufacturing operations
Ensure compliance with applicable local state federal environmental and safety requirements
Support site safety initiatives and risk mitigation programs
Coordinate with internal departments including operations engineering finance procurement safety HR and IT
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors contractors client representatives and internal teams
Track operational performance and provide updates to site and client leadership
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve facility performance without negatively impacting operations
Support capital projects facility improvements and infrastructure upgrades
Maintain accurate documentation related to facility operations vendors budgets projects and compliance
Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to facility operations and service delivery
8 years of experience in facilities management plant facilities industrial operations or a related field
Strong preference for experience supporting a manufacturing or industrial facility
Experience managing large complex facilities and multiple building systems
Proven experience managing facility budgets operating expenses and cost controls
Strong contractor and vendor management experience
Experience overseeing maintenance repairs and facility improvement projects
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop facilities or maintenance personnel
Strong understanding of mechanical electrical plumbing HVAC and general building systems
Ability to prioritize multiple operational issues and make independent decisions
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with executives site leadership contractors maintenance personnel and manufacturing teams
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook and related business applications
Ability to analyze operational and financial data
Bachelors degree in engineering facilities management business or a related discipline
Experience managing facilities within battery manufacturing chemical processing automotive heavy manufacturing or similar industrial environments
Experience supporting facilities with hazardous materials or specialized environmental and safety requirements
Experience managing integrated facilities management services
Familiarity with CMMS platforms and preventive maintenance programs
Experience supporting capital improvement projects
Experience with continuous improvement process optimization or cost reduction initiatives
Professional facilities certifications such as CPM RPA CFM or similar are a plus but are not required
