Facilities Maintenance Technician

Rochester Academy Charter School is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing general and detailed maintenance including patching painting hardware repairs and other repair/replacement work as required.
• Providing general landscaping maintenance including grass cutting bush trimming and other miscellaneous landscaping needs.
• Perform snow and ice removal on sidewalks entryways and roofs. This responsibility requires a flexible schedule including early mornings or late nights to ensure the facility is safe before business hours.
• Remove snow and apply salt using the school truck.
• Serve as a backup custodian when regular personnel are absent. This includes performing daily custodian janitorial and cleaning work across all buildings as needed. Duties include vacuuming spot cleaning and/or shampooing rugs carpets and furniture as well as sweeping mopping polishing and stripping floors in rooms and halls.
• Utilize insecticides to prevent infestation by dangerous pests.
• Report major damages and oversee repairs.
• Execute other maintenance and custodial duties as assigned by the facility manager or school leadership to support campus operation
