Facilities Maintenance Technician Electrician

Major/Essential Duties of the Job:

Performs a variety of technical and skilled work involved in the installation maintenance preventative maintenance and repair of electrical wiring and equipment.

Works with and around low to high voltage; 12 volt AC/DC up to 3 phase 480 volt.

Basic troubleshooting methods for electrical circuits.

Works with conduits wires pull boxes switch boxes and switches.

Observes and reports discrepancies.
Discusses tasks and projects and suggests appropriate methods for completion.

Submits work order completion reports completely timely and accurately.
Operates vehicles equipment and hand/power tools as necessary.
Cares for and maintains tools equipment keys uniforms and other items issued.
Assists other personnel as directed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:
High school graduate or GED.
Basic knowledge and experience working with electricity.
Ability to diagnose problems and determine proper repair procedures. Experience with hand and power tools.
Knowledge of basic safety requirements procedures and techniques. Ability and willingness to learn new skills knowledge and techniques.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Trade school graduate.
Journeyman or Masters License preferred
