How to be Successful in the Role:Provide great customer service for our tenants and prioritize work orders while building your knowledge in facilities trades. Have a positive and enthusiastic work presence while working independently and while directly supervising and assisting experienced technicians and mechanics on various projects.

You will receive training and gain experience including building trades knowledge safety procedures building orientation computer applications and much more to help you become an experienced well-rounded facilities professional.
Core Daily Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance and operations of county facilities and properties associated grounds and infrastructure.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of a designated unit; determine work procedures prepare work schedules and determine methods for expediting workflow; assign review/inspect and approve the work of subordinate staff and contractors to ensure compliance with standards.
- Process work requests and prioritize plan and assign work orders. Coordinate activities with customers staff and contractors to ensure work is completed to standard.
- As the subject-matter expert (SME) review pre-bid maintenance and capital construction projects for required resources and for potential impact to buildings tenants and future maintenance and access requirements
- Implement and monitor training programs for assigned staff; verify contracted service providers possess required licenses and certifications as applicable within contract provisions.

- Additional education or experience may substitute for the recruiting requirements.

- Seven years of work experience in one or more of the building mechanical electrical carpentry plumbing construction or related trade areas
- To include two years of experience leading employees (e.g. assigning and coordinating work; providing guidance and coaching; preparing work schedules).
- Certain positions in this class may be required to possess or be able to obtain licenses required by state local or federal code or regulations including but not limited to class IV boiler operation license or higher.
- Possession of or the ability to obtain a valid Drivers license.

Satisfactory physical condition as evidenced by a county-approved physical examination may be required before appointment to the position.
