F-22 System Test Tools & Automation Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior)

The Boeing Company is looking for an F-22 System Test Tools & Automation Software Engineer (Associate Experienced or Senior) to join the F-22 Simulations and Testing Infrastructure team located in Berkeley MO.

This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. This organization designs develops and demonstrates avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor the premier 5th gen air superiority fighter flown only by the United States Air Force (USAF). Your role will require you to work as a member of an agile team to create and maintain the simulation environment and testing infrastructure used to support the development and test of advanced capabilities of the F-22 Raptor. This role will have tasking directly supporting our lab customer for developing analysis tools automation scripts and other support software to continue modernization of our system-level labs. This role will also partake in a considerable amount of software / hardware integration.

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with our system lab partners to identify needs and participate in solution generation for lab modernization

• Self-starts on problem identification and strong communication skills to bring ideas and problem statements to leadership and other technical personnel

• Supports the design architecture and development of simulation models simulation visualizations virtual environments/platforms and frameworks to enhance test performance safety and durability of software and hardware systems throughout the entire product lifecycle

• Supports partnership with stakeholders to review and identify simulation requirements and dynamics of the systems being simulated

• Supports designing modeling simulation testing and analysis to assess and optimize overall system performance and capabilities

• Contributes to data collection and processing for use in simulations

• Supports validation verification and refinement of simulation software code models simulations test procedures and test environments executing test procedures documenting test results and modeling against real-world data test data benchmarks or other similar models

• Contributes to documenting and maintaining technical code algorithms specifications and descriptions of simulation models

• Supports partnership with cross-functional engineering teams to enable integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems

• Supports implementing current and emerging technologies tools frameworks and methods in the software engineering simulation environment

• Supports modernizing migrating sustaining and updating simulation software to adapt legacy systems to new operating systems

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to workonsiteat one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required)

• Bachelors Degree

• Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

• 2 or more years of experience with software development and/or troubleshooting software

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Level 2: 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Level 3: 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Level 4: 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience with software development using C C or Ada

• Experience with Go Java C/C Rust or Python

• Experience with Linux and Windows development

• Experience with hardware / software integration

• Experience in designing developing integrating applying and testing software models simulations framework environments tools and applications with higher order programming languages assembly and auto-code

• Experience with performing Application Programming Interface (API) design implementation and testing

• Experience in real-time software architecture and design methodologies to synthesize models and simulation frameworks that meet real-time requirements; this includes knowledge of real-time target environments its processor and network architecture communication protocols and electrical interfaces

• Experience with building and execution environments that include hosts processors operating systems and networks

• Experience with verification validation certification and qualification processes

• Experience with containerization technologies which includes understanding how to manage containers deploy applications in a containerized environment and troubleshoot issues

• Experience in the understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing subnetting routing and security (focus on security best practices and technologies)

• Associate (Level 2): $99450 - $134550

• Experienced (Level 3): $126650 - $171350

• Senior (Level 4): $160650 - $217350
