Job Overview
The Extrusion Machine Operator II operates and adjusts extrusion equipment to manufacture quality feed products that meet safety quality and production standards.
This role performs routine process adjustments conducts quality checks and troubleshoots extrusion issues with regular guidance while supporting efficient daily operations.
What You Will Do
Operate extrusion equipment to manufacture products that meet specifications quality and food safety requirements.
Monitor extrusion processes inspect product at required intervals and document inprocess quality checks.
Set up and adjust die plates knife heads and process settings to maintain product consistency.
Troubleshoot routine extrusion and equipment issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
Communicate with batching ingredients and downstream operators to ensure proper product flow.
Follow all safety food safety and housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work environment.
Work flexible schedules including overtime weekends holidays or rotating shifts with advance notice.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must be 18 years or older.
Understand and communicate efficiently in English (verbal/written).
At least 1 year of experience operating production or industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work indoors/outdoors environments (heat cold dust and noise) while performing physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds climbing bending twisting and working at heights (4 feet and above) with or without reasonable accommodation.
What Will Put You Ahead
Prior experience operating extrusion or food processing equipment.
Experience performing routine process adjustments or equipment changeovers.
Familiarity with food safety quality or HACCP programs.
Ability to use basic computer systems for production or quality documentation.
