PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist in supervising the management system of the Extended School Day program and to provide direct support of day-to-day operations and program activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
Associates Degree - required
Bachelors Degree- preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organizational verbal and written communication technological and interpersonal
skills
Excellent conflict resolution and problem solving skills
Detail oriented and experienced with multiple deadlines
Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
Efficient effective competent capable practical and proficient in carrying out duties and
responsibilities
Experience with budgets payroll and collections
Ability to work independently and carry out assignments without close supervision
Analyze interpret and communicate information
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel
Strong organizational problem solving and supervisory skills
Work Conditions:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and
peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including keyboarding; reaching
Lifting: Lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds)
Environment: Must be able to work with frequent interruptions and maintain professional
demeanor under stress; may work prolonged or irregular hours
Travel: Frequent district-wide travel and moderate out of district travel
Regular attendance is an essential function.
Minimum Experience:
Two years of successful experience in a supervisory/administrative capacity including fiscal
personnel and public relations activities. Experience in After-School Program preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assist in the supervision of management systems for various components of program operation including but not limited to student enrollment staff development documentation of work hours and related data.
Assist in providing support to principals including oversight of day-to-day operations of Extended School Day program activities.
Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with program procedures.
Work cooperatively with the ESD Director to track of site expenses.
Assist in performing periodic evaluation of operations using published Standards for State commissions and Amarillo ISD procedures.
Work cooperatively with the ESD Director to provide input and oversight to development and maintenance of logistical and administrative operations of Extended School Day and annual budget to include ongoing analysis of expenditures.
Help in determining training needs and creating professional development plans and ensuring that mandatory training is completed and documented.
Interpret and communicate Extended School Day program policies standards and procedures.
Assist in the study analyzation and coordination of operations of Extended School Day.
Assist in developing and preparing materials for ESD training sessions.
Attend and participate in local training events.
Assist in developing and delivering yearly program training plan including: supervisor orientation pre-service training events in-service staff development and site specific training events.
Effectively address questions concerns and expectations and from parents site coordinators and tutors.
Ensure confidentiality.
Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
Demonstrate behavior that is professional ethical and responsible.
Compile maintain and file all reports records and other documents required.
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Ensure compliance with all local policies and state and federal statutes including the Educator Code of Ethics.
Perform such other tasks and accepts such other responsibilities as may be assigned.
