Experienced Product Security Engineer

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Experienced (Level 3) Product Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Innovation team in Seattle WA or Everett WA. This position is responsible for ensuring security safety and resiliency of all digitally-connected in-service BCA airplanes with the development and support of system developments methods and tools. Primary responsibilities:

• Assesses risks threats and vulnerabilities of the product assets and production systems in accordance with accepted industry professional and government standards to ensure security design integrity availability confidentiality and regulatory compliance
• Develops security requirements and coordinate with different systems stakeholders
• Develops technical data and documentation in accordance with requirements and system security engineering processes and procedures for internal reference and external delivery
• Coordinates with penetration testers to validate coverage and impacts to analysis
• Develops & reviews certification artifacts under guidance of FAA and Engineering Unit Members
• Develops effective and innovative technical solutions with an awareness of consequences of judgements individually and through teams
• Performs / leads the development implementation and communication of sustainment activities to ensure continued product security safety and resiliency of digitally-connected in-service airplanes
• Oversees configuration management and security of data networks and resources used to ensure continued product security and resiliency of in-service models

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 5 years of experience in systems engineering systems integration software engineering electrical engineering certification network security and/or cybersecurity

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

• Experience in engineering discipline(s) (e.g. electrical mechanical software engineering) applied to product related systems (e.g. aircraft avionics systems) throughout the product development life cycle from concept development to deployment
• Experience in systems engineering and/or airplane configuration integration
• Experience in computing equipment and its operating systems (e.g. Windows Unix Linux and Open Source Tools)
• Experience with Vulnerability assessment and/or Penetration test
• Experience analyzing data creating reports and presenting results
• Certified Application Security Engineer (CASE) Security a CISSP certification or equivalent Cyber Security certification (CISSP preferred)
