Summary of duties The Senior Systems Engineer Analyst will provide support to Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Divisions (NSWC IHD) Chemical Biological Radiological Defense (CBRD) Division (W1). This individual will provide systems engineering requirements analysis and technical evaluation supportto the CBRD Engineering Agents supporting the Expeditionary Medicine Family of Systems.
Specific description of duties
- Plan coordinate and execute individual and team assignments to meet project goals.
- Apply engineering procedures and technology to support the Expeditionary Medicine Family of Systems mission.
- Adhere to the policies processes guidelines and regulations governing engineering and DoD acquisition.
- Utilize modern information concepts and system capabilities to complete assignments effectively.
- Employ analytical evaluative and problem-solving techniques to perform engineering work.
- Leverage knowledge of naval operations to support the Expeditionary Medicine Family of Systems.
- Analyze Expeditionary Medicine requirements to investigate solutions facilitate developmental tests assess alternatives and implement solutions for medical systems.
- Observe test events and demonstrations of new technologies to evaluate their value and facilitate their integration with existing Navy programs.
- Review and analyze technical publications and system drawings within the Navys Chemical and Biological Defense portfolio.
the CB Detection and Expeditionary Medicine TDA/AEAs with miscellaneous documentation standards and training as required.
- Maintain familiarity with the Naval Surface Warfare Centers CBR research projects and initiatives.
- Three (3) years of applicable professional experience with the operations and repair of Navy CBRD equipment with emphasis on detection decontamination and collective protection.
- Navy shipboard experience in damage control or associated rating.
- Working knowledge of shipboard protocol and Naval Waterfront Maintenance Community. (This is a position with frequent travel.)
Education / Specialized training
- HS diploma or GED may be required depending on varying contract stipulations.
- Secret Clearance Required
- Working knowledge of shipboard protocol and Naval Waterfront Maintenance and Training Community.
- Working knowledge and experience in ship-check procedures for chemical biological and radiological detection systems.
- Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS independently.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
- General knowledge of shipboard AIT work desired.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good Team Player and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Working knowledge of Word excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical/Environmental Job Requirements
Physical requirements may include:
- Ability to be able to walk reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
- Ability to be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds in a backpack or messenger bag in order to carry a laptop notebooks papers binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.

- Will require own transportation to work.
