Third Way is looking for an Executive Coordinator to provide support for the Development and External Affairs team on scheduling administrative needs event support research and other duties as assigned. This work will directly advance Third Ways political and policy objectives in the Administration and Congress.
As theExecutive Coordinator for the Development & External Affairs team a typical day might include
Serving as the primary administrative support for the fundraising events and external affairs functions of the Development & External Affairs team;
Managing schedules calendars meeting set-up and logistics as well as ensuring appropriate follow-up for senior team members;
Providing logistical support for events that can include scheduling arranging travel managing check-in onsite drafting invitations tracking RSVPs making catering arrangements drafting event briefings and scouting venues;
Providing background research in preparation for meetings and events;
Recording notes from team meetings and distributing relevant to-dos and action items; and
Maintaining internal records calendars and shared databases.
Salary Range: $50000 - $60000 annually

Have a bachelors degree and/or a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in an administrative or similar role;

Participate in Third Ways comprehensive onboarding program. Youll learn about all aspects of Business Operations which includes HR Benefits IT Finance and office operations.
Youll learn about all aspects of Development & External Affairs which includes fundraising corporate relations and public events.
Meet your Third Way Buddy be introduced to the entire staff and start to learn the TWs culture.
Learn our current processes for payroll compliance and labor tracking and how you will partner with Finance and the rest of the Business Operations team on these processes.
Participate in weekly one-on-ones with your manager to ensure you fully understand the expectations of the job.
Attend weekly team meetings. Youll learn about the key goals of each member of your program their progress toward these goals what challenges they face and how you will contribute.
Learn our current processes for scheduling meetings hosting events interfacing with donors & congressional offices and more.
WITHIN 2 MONTHS YOULL...
Gain an understanding of each employees role and their contribution to the organization.
Attend program overview sessions to learn more about each teams contribution to TWs mission.
Incorporate TWs Style Guide and Production process into your work products.
Participate in at least one of our internal Professional Development trainings or a Center for Fun activity.
Be fully responsible for the teams scheduling needs and providing support for corporate individual and public events.
Oversee in-office event coordination regarding food orders room set-up and RSVP tracking.
WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOULL
Feel a sense of comfort and familiarity with the staff your team and your work.
Continue to attend weekly departmental meetings with a stronger understanding of your teams strategic goal.
Bring new ideas and suggestions to your weekly one-on-ones with your manager.
Attend and participate in external functions with other members of your team.
Complete your 90-day self-evaluation and performance review with your manager.
Partner with your manager to establish your long-term goals for the remainder of the year.
Take over primary management of Third Ways social media channels.
Create and manage Third Ways social media content calendar.
Lead content creation for all of Third Ways digital media accounts.
Partner with other members of the communications team and our policy and political analysts to prepare content to elevate important findings and data.
