You will be working on unique projects under the guidance of the Shift Supervisors and Area Managers for our top Silicon Valley your day to day role as an Armed Incident Commander you will be acting as a liaison between Surefox and its clients while providing deterrence and emergency response.
You will perform all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures and all state & federal regulations. Other responsibilities include medical & non-medical response staffing and handling client requests in a timely manner. Under certain circumstances an Incident Commander will be expected to initiate preliminary investigations by writing incident reports on all internal client and company issues. We are looking for someone who has exceptional observational skills and pays close attention to detail.

Base Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $50.00 / hour Available Schedule: Part Time / 12 hours shifts / Monday - Friday
**REQUIRED - ACTIVE CALIFORNIA CCW LICENSE**
What you will do:
System & Threat Monitoring: Monitor camera feeds Video Management Systems (VMS) and Access Control Systems (ACS) to identify and neutralize threats before they escalate.
Risk Assessment & Intelligence: Conduct ongoing site risk assessments and funnel actionable intelligence to leadership to inform high-level decision-making.
Access Control & Verification: Maintain eyes on the ground for incident verification implementing specialized physical protocols such as two-swipe entry and strictly controlled access points.
Emergency Dispatching: Act as the primary dispatcher and communication hub between the GSOC and physical response teams during critical incidents.
Integrated Patrols: Deliver advanced detection capabilities by merging digital alarm monitoring with physical security patrols (foot and vehicle).
Perimeter Integrity: Oversee badge printing credentialing and technical security integrators to ensure the integrity of client perimeters.
Incident Reporting: Conduct incident reports on accidents suspicious activities and system vulnerabilities while maintaining a high level of situational awareness.
Client Protection: Provide low-profile physical security for assigned clients promoting safety and discretion while conducting vulnerability assessments.
Professional Standards: Maintain a high level of physical fitness a professional personal appearance and a thorough understanding of todays security technology across all platforms.
The Armed Incident Commander position maintains a safe secure and welcoming environment for our clients and their guests by monitoring the areas of responsibility specified by our clients
Armed Incident Commanders maintain order while enforcing regulations directives and policies Armed Incident Commanders will provide the highest level of customer service and information to a clients employees customers guests and vendors while serving as a physical deterrent
Develop relationships with clients facilitate collaboration and have the ability to influenceinformally across different departments within the team
Track and report on program performance and compliance requirements withinthe provided guidelines.
Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot while monitoring access.
Watch for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situationson-site
Contact the police or fire department if and when there is an emergency
Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrancesand exits
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of companyproperty
Prepare reports on accidents incidents and suspicious activities
Provide assistance to employees and create a safe and friendly environment for visitorsand clients in a professional manner
Attend project meetings upon request to assess the security implications of proposedchanges
Work independently and adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high-levelof attentiveness and energy
What is required:
Eligibility & Age: Must be eligible for employment within the United States and Must be a minimum of 21 years old per state licensing guidelines
Background & Location: Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening and live within driving distance of the primary work location.
Experience: Must have at least 5 years of physical security experience.
Licensing & Permits:
Must have a current BSIS Guard Card (or be eligible to qualify).
Must have a current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (or be eligible to qualify for an exposed carry permit).
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Emergency Competence: Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergency situations with good judgment and timely sound decision-making.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong writing and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds; ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a team member.
Physical Agility Requirement: All applicants must be able to pass the Surefox Physical Agility Test (SPAT) with or without reasonable accommodation prior to the scheduled start date.
Note:Passing the SPAT is a mandatory requirement for this position. The SPAT is a timed sequence of multiple physical events requiring you to progress along a predetermined path from event to event in a continuous manner until complete.
Medical Certifications: CPR / First Aid / AED certification for all ages is required.
Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work nights weekends and holidays as required.
Technical Literacy: Demonstrated operational understanding of todays security technology across all platforms.
Well maintained firearm (must be the same caliber listed on the permit)

Technical Certifications: Formal TECC/TCCC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care / Tactical Combat Casualty Care) certifications NREMT licensure or experience with advanced tactical medical integration.
Specialized Training: Experience with Executive Protection anti-terrorism protocols or high-threat driving.
International Proficiency: Experience with overseas protection assignments and international travel logistics.
Security or law enforcement related experience preferred
