Executive Assistant, IDEAS, SMGS Ops

Were looking for an Executive Assistant to be a trusted partner to help the AWS IDEAS Director run their business and guide the organization.

This Executive Assistant will support the Director of IDEAS as well as one additional Director. The EA works closely with their leaders their leadership teams and other EAs to act as a seamless extension of their directors function. They will manage and prioritize their directors time and attention to ensure that they are able to focus on the most important work of the organization.

The EA will be a trusted strategic partner. They understand the business and its people and they use this insight to help the Director see around corners and anticipate issues in the org. The EA understands the mental models of their directors and uses these mental models to exercise high judgment in prioritizing the Directors time and attention.

The ideal candidate is a detail oriented efficient experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to triage prioritize and respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility composure and a good sense of humor in the face of ambiguity. They would be an observant and curious learner able to pick up nuances of the business and their directors communication and collaboration preferences and earn trust handle confidential and sensitive information and to act on their directors behalf.

AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. IDEAS delivers a best-in-class end-to-end experience consisting of tooling data and operations for planning communicating monitoring optimizing and executing the AWS go-to-market strategy.

Key job responsibilities
ATTENTION MANAGEMENT: Filter all inbound requests to keep an eye out for those people projects and issues that are important and help prioritize them.

MEETING COORDINATION: Schedule and organize meetings ensuring that they are necessary and productive.

CALENDAR MANAGEMENT: Maintain a clear and organized calendar. Continuously look for ways to make the directors schedule more efficient.

TRAVEL PLANNING: Arrange all aspects of travel including itineraries accommodations transportation and expenses.

EVENT PLANNING: Organize and oversee org events such as leadership offsites.

TRUSTED ADVISOR: Be the eyes and ears of the director and help raise and advise on potential issues that require the directors focus.

About the team
IDEAS (Insights Data Engineering Econometrics Analytics & Science) is the organization within AWS SMGS Ops responsible for turning data into insight for the AWS Sales and Marketing business. The team builds and operates the data infrastructure analytics and data science capabilities that help leaders across AWS understand their business make better decisions and serve customers more effectively at global scale.
We build with both native AWS technology including state-of-the-art Generative AI and industry-standard products pairing the best of each to move faster work smarter and continually raise the bar on what our data and insights can do.
It is a collaborative intellectually curious and fast-moving group that partners closely with stakeholders across the company. As Executive Assistant you will be a trusted member of this team helping leaders focus their time where it matters most enabling smooth operations and contributing to an inclusive high-performing culture. Experience supporting a technical data engineering or analytics team is a strong plus as it helps you partner effectively with the leaders and teams you serve.

- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- 5 years of senior level leadership support experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
