Excavator Operator

We are now accepting resume/applications for EXPERIENCEDExcavator Operatorsfor theThibodaux LAand surroundingareas. Duties/Responsibilitiesmay/may not be limited tothe following:

• MUSTHAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING AN EXCAVATOR
• Must be able to transport/move material efficiently
• Will be operating on existing canals and/or levees
• Required Skills:
  • Proficient in excavators of all sizes haul trucks loaders and skid steers with some experience on dozer as well.
  • Well versed handling trench boxes of all sizes and shapes
  • Excellent organizational skills able to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent hand eye and foot coordination
  • Ability to work independently and self motivated
  • Team player able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal
• Duties/Responsibilites:
  • Safe operation of excavator
  • Operate machinery to perform activities such as excavations backfilling trenching ditching slope work erosion control grubbing stumping clearing looming fine grading and final clean up
  • Observe hand signals grade stakes or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications
  • Handling and/or moving material
  • Maintain daily logs of equipment usage maintenance etc.
  • Perform tasks maintaining all health safety and environmental rules and ensure all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment
  • Daily maintenance of equipment
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods
  • Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
  • Have endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Required Credentials:
  • Drivers License/Identification
  • Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
• Must provide own PPE (Hard hat steel toes safety glasses & gloves)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a DISA Drug screen physical and background check.
• Pay:
  • TBD (DOE)
  • Weekly Pay
  • Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
• Schedule:
  • 10-12 Hour Days
  • Monday - Friday
  • Weekends (as needed)
• Duration of Job:Approximately 4 years
