Event Support Technician

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The work schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional weekend shifts required based on event schedules. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning and a strong technical this role you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance during events ensuring that all equipment and technology is functioning properly. You will also assist with event set-up and breakdown and provide general support to our event planning team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and test audio/visual equipment lighting and other event technology as needed

- Troubleshoot technical issues during events and provide quick and effective solutions

- Assist with event set-up and breakdown including moving and arranging furniture setting up decorations and ensuring all areas are clean and presentable

- Collaborate with event planning team to ensure all technical aspects of events are executed flawlessly

- Maintain and organize event equipment and supplies ensuring they are in good working condition

- Provide general support and assistance to event planning team as needed

- Communicate effectively with clients and vendors to ensure all technical needs are met for each event

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in event technology to make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification preferred

- 1-2 years of experience in event planning or technical support

- Strong technical skills and knowledge of audio/visual equipment lighting and event technology

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Highly organized and detail-oriented

- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and furniture

- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and extended hours as needed
