As an Estimating Student for Civil Westin Phoenix Arizona youll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced estimators to analyze project opportunities develop competitive cost estimates and help shape the successful pursuit of projects that strengthen the communities we serve.

As an Estimating Student in Phoenix Arizona you will contribute to our team by:
- Review and perform quantity survey assignment with lead estimator
- Performs general sub-trade solicitation duties
- Bid document control
- Performs bid day assignments
- Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping
- Visits job sites periodically
- Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating)
- Develops relationships with subcontractors
- Other duties as assigned
- Desire a career in construction Project Management Field Supervision or Estimating.
- Pursuing an associates or bachelors degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology Construction Management or related discipline.
- Any experience using the following; On-Screen Takeoff Microsoft Excel and Word Revit Acrobat and other computer software
- Required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with project personnel suppliers subcontractors and owners
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications and perform quantity take offs
- Must be authorized to work in the US *PCL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H1-B etc.) for this position
- 18 years of age or older
- Available to work in Los Angeles CAfull time from May to August
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
