ESH Claims Administrator
Job Summary
Summary
The ESH claims specialists main responsibility is to track each incident that occurs on any Layton project site or with any Layton Construction employee through addition to filing insurance claims the claims specialist will collect all documentation surrounding each incident track other incident situations such Good Catch / Close Call reports. Assisting safety professionals with CAP trade partner input into the system.
- Review incident investigation report (IIR) reports for completeness and timeliness.
- Enter information into our database systems and third party for insurance claims.
- Determines if incident to be handled In-House or by Insurance Carrier using established claims protocol.
- Maintain communication with Claims Team Safety Managers Supervisors and Associates.
- Request/review injured worker medical status reports
- Communicate any significant changes problems or concerns to Insurance Claims Managers.
- Coordinate and participate in open claim review.
- Provide monthly/quarterly claims status reports.
- Works closely with representatives from third party administrators.
- Assist employees in promptly returning to their regular duties after injury.
- Tracks monthly quarterly and yearly safety reports
- Tracks employee safety man hours
- Submits worker compensation claims
- Coordinates safety committee meetings
- Tracks equipment certifications
- Tracks employee injuries
- Schedules Safety department travel
- Coordinates with safety managers to increase understanding of projects and to improve the quality of the project paperwork.
- Administers safety orientation set up for new hires
- Other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma. College degree preferred.
- Workers comp claim experience or insurance adjusting experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents (ie accident forms medical/legal documents etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to effectively and professionally interact with Safety Team members and LCC upper management.
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Great knowledge of database software (i.e. Excel Word PowerPoint CMIC etc.)
- Can apply common sense decision making to every day challenges.
- The ability to operate office equipment including computer printer copier fax and telephone.
- The ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently accurately and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing threat of harm to self or others.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
Post high school administrative assistant training preferred and/or insurance claims.
