Position Description:
The Process EngineerErgonomist assists the plant ergonomics program at Michigan Assembly Plant partnering with production engineering safety medical labor and plant leadership to identify and reduce ergonomic risks. The role assesses and improves workstations analyzes injury and medical trends supports new-model launches and process changes and ensures compliance with Client ergonomics standards. Through data analysis employee training and cross-functional continuous improvement this position promotes employee well-being while supporting safety quality and operational performance.
Skills Required:
3D Modeling
Experience Required:
A bachelors degree in ergonomics engineering industrial engineering human factors kinesiology occupational health safety or a related field. At least one year of experience in ergonomics manufacturing or industrial engineering safety or a related technical area. Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and implementing workplace improvements. Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
Experience Preferred:
A masters degree Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) credential automotive manufacturing or launch experience and familiarity with ergonomic simulation tools are preferred but not required.
