Equipment Technician Fleet Temporary hire

This position will have inconsistent work hours and will be called in as needed on short notice and/or only work 3-6 hours a day.

Core Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform progressive preventative maintenance on gas and diesel powered vehicles trailers and associated equipment.
• Perform full range of maintenance and repair functions on gas and diesel powered vehicles trailers and associated equipment.
• May repair light duty transmissions rear end assemblies electrical units brake systems fuel and other mechanical systems.
• Work may include tune-ups relining and adjusting brakes; engine transmission and differential replacement and repair and electrical component replacement and repair.
• Repair gas and diesel engines transmission fuel electrical and hydraulic systems and components.

• Perform equipment technician duties in the central shop area.

• Certification as Master Technician from Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) OR
• Full journey level status in Automotive Machinists Union OR
• Four years of work experience as a full-time assistant to a journey level mechanic.
• A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
• A valid drivers license is required.
