Job Summary

Position : EPMO Project Manager

Location : Franklin Lakes NJ

Duration : 12 Months Contract

Total Hours/week :40.00

Description:

  • The EPMO Project Manager will manage medium to large sized IT and Global Information Security projects of moderate to high complexity and ensure projects meet agreed scope schedule cost and quality objectives.
  • The EPMO Project Manager may manage multiple concurrent projects with high visibility and will report to the EPMO Program Manager.
  • Has advanced understanding of project and program management PMBOK comprehensive knowledge of project management methodology and SDLC.

Responsibilities and Skills Requirements:

  • Develop full scale project plans leading the planning baselining execution and reporting of one or more information security projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope milestones goals and deliverables adhering to established IT governance model
  • Plan and schedule project timelines (activities tasks dependencies and resource allocation)
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff (including project owner and vendor-partner)
  • Manage vendor-partner statements of work and deliverables
  • Manage and monitor project budget and procurement requirements
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Track and report project status using established processes and tools to all stakeholders
  • Manage mitigate and report project risks and issues (RAID Log management)
  • Collaborate effectively with the program management office and program leadership
  • Present reports defining project progress problems and solutions
  • Manage control and implement project changes and interventions to achieve required project
  • outcomes re-baselining when approved
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results
  • Measuring: Checking project progress toward meeting its objectives
  • Evaluating: Determining the cause of deviations from the plan
  • Correcting: Taking corrective actions to address deviations

Skills & Abilities (Required):

  • Strong project management skills including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Proven track record of delivering IT projects that involve cross-functional teams and/or matrix organizations with responsibility for budget scope and schedule.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a strong understanding of how to manage change within a global culture.
  • Strong planning organizational and leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse teams of subject matter experts with varying levels of project experience.
  • Must have substantial experience in Software/systems integration and development lifecycle.
  • Hands on experience managing project risk cost schedule quality testing communications procurement and organizational change management.
  • 8 - 10 years of continuous IT Project/Program Management experience in Infrastructure Applications Information Security with large complex project development and integration efforts.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration IT or similar field of study / work experience is required.
  • Familiarity with PMBOK.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project software and SharePoint.
  • An overall general understanding of large IT operating environments. Networks Data Centers
  • Office 365 SDLC Release Management Change Control Desktop Support Service Desks.

  • hardware/software platforms and operating systems.
  • Hands on experience managing policy processes and procedures implementation.
  • Ability to be agile in their efforts is essential.
  • Candidate must have implemented full scale project plans leading the planning baselining
  • execution and reporting of up to three cyber security projects (background in Security operations is
  • required since the role involves handling the Information Security work stream)
  • Domestic travel may be required (less than 10%).

Skills & Abilities (Preferred):

  • PMP/ PgMP Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in a regulated environment (FDA HIPAA or Financial) a plus
