Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Epic Patient Access RTE & Referrals Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing configuring supporting and optimizing the Epic Patient Access suite including Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) and Referrals. The candidate will work closely with patient access registration scheduling revenue cycle and clinical teams to streamline patient intake insurance verification referral management and front-end revenue cycle processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure maintain and support the Epic Patient Access RTE and Referrals applications.
  • Gather analyze and document business and operational requirements from patient access scheduling and revenue cycle stakeholders.
  • Design build test validate and deploy Epic Patient Access enhancements and system changes.
  • Configure and support patient registration insurance verification eligibility checks referral workflows and authorization processes.
  • Support Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) transactions and troubleshoot payer connectivity and eligibility issues.
  • Build and maintain referral workflows work queues scheduling rules and insurance-related configurations.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely production support.
  • Participate in Epic implementations upgrades optimization initiatives and enhancement projects.
  • Perform unit testing integrated testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop and maintain build documentation workflow diagrams technical specifications and support documentation.
  • Collaborate with other Epic application analysts to ensure seamless integration with Cadence Prelude Resolute MyChart and other Epic modules.
  • Ensure all configurations comply with Epic best practices healthcare regulations and organizational governance standards.

Requirements

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with Epic Patient Access Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) and Referrals.
  • Epic Patient Access Certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in Epic build configuration implementation testing and production support.
  • Strong understanding of patient registration scheduling insurance eligibility verification referrals prior authorizations and front-end revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience supporting integrated Epic applications.
  • Excellent analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Epic Patient Access Certification (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Epic Patient Access experience
  • Experience supporting RTE (Real-Time Eligibility) and Referrals
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in U.S. healthcare environments.
  • Knowledge of patient access insurance verification referral management authorizations and revenue cycle operations.
  • Experience integrating Patient Access with Epic Cadence Prelude Resolute MyChart and other Epic applications.
  • Understanding of Epic implementation methodology and healthcare interoperability.
  • Strong documentation stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required Education:
