Environmental Services Technician, 2nd Shift
Job Summary
The successful candidate:
Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
The Environmental Services Technician is a member of the City of Hope Environmental Services team and is responsible for performing established cleaning procedures to provide non-clinical sanitation support throughout assigned hospital areas. This role operates equipment and utilizes appropriate tools products and supplies to maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment for patients visitors and staff.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Dusting vacuuming mopping and sanitizing assigned areas
- Cleaning furniture fixtures and other common surfaces
- Emptying trash and disposing of waste appropriately
- Maintaining patient rooms hallways offices and common areas
- Following infection prevention safety and environmental standards
- Supporting a positive patient and visitor experience through excellent customer service
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
- Healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read write and follow oral and written instructions
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean safe environment
