Environmental Project Manager

Candidates must be willing to work at the Hartford CT office location. Relocation assistance is available to meet this expectation.

What We Are Looking For:

An experienced Environmental Project Manager ready to support and manage a design team using innovative remedial technologies to address various contaminants in soil groundwater industrial wastewater stormwater and air. The right candidate will enrich our team of engineers and scientists in providing solutions to address contaminants such as PFAS 14-dioxane chlorinated solvents petroleum and heavy metals for sites regulated under state CERCLA and RCRA laws. Key responsibilities of this position include:

• Leading and supporting remedial and process engineering projects and teams to fill data gaps design construct operate and optimize systems.
• Planning and performing assessments pilot tests construction oversight and remedying O&M.
• Evaluating data from aquifer tests pilot studies bench testing sampling events and modeling to develop remedial strategies.
• Preparing documents pursuant to state and federal programs including the CT Property Transfer Program.
• Preparing reviewing and mentoring others in the development of design basis technology feasibility analyses and selection and design plans specifications and reports.
• Communicating with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
• Providing project and client management from small dry cleaners/gas stations to complex industrial facilities to major federal facilities.
• Preparing proposals cost estimates and long-term projections for remediation projects.
• Providing technical assistance to teams working across multiple offices throughout the country problem-solving mentoring leading by example and participating in corporate technical initiatives.

Minimum skills and requirements needed:

• Bachelors degree from an ABET-accredited college in Environmental Science Geology or Engineering
• 5-10 years of relevant experience required.
• EIT GIT P.G. or P.E. preferred
• CT LEP or CT LEP Track.
• Knowledge of CT RSRs CERCLA RCRA NYSDEC DER-10 and other environmental legislation.
• Hands-on experience with remediation technologies and O&M for soil groundwater stormwater industrial wastewater and air for a wide range of contaminants.
• Strong consulting problem-solving and leadership skills.
• State municipal and federal contracts/project management experience with a focus on conducting work within the Northeast regional states.
• A valid drivers license.
• Ability to travel overnight.
