SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As an integral part of the Environment Health Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) team the Site Environmental Engineer supports Kimberly-Clarks (K-C) commitment to Better Care for a Better this capacity this position supports and advances specific environmental and sustainability aspects at the facility. This is done by identifying mitigating and escalating pertinent risks at the site. Additionally they provide support to ensure compliance with applicable local national regulations and relevant Global Performance Standards in E&S
In this role you will:
Risk Identification and Management: Address relevant environmental and safety risk identification mitigation and management at applicable locations.
Regulatory Compliance: Support locations in ensuring compliance with applicable Environment & Safety local and national regulations and relevant Global Performance Standards.
Collaborative Objective Deployment: Actively collaborate with the site team to deploy shared objectives that support the Global Sustainability Strategy aligning programs with relevant requirements and expectations. Coordinate activities initiatives and information flow within the site.
Strategic Program Implementation: Ability to implement K-C E&S programs at the site while ensuring alignment with the Global Sustainability Strategy.
Legal Compliance Understanding: Basic understanding of local/country E&S regulatory requirements.
Technical Expertise: Address technical environmental and safety topics outlined in K-C EHS&S Performance Standards and manage associated operation-specific risks.
Environmental and Safety Assessments: Experience in conducting environmental and safety risk compliance/conformance and resource efficiency assessments for mill operations.
Implementation Skills: Capable of executing relevant aspects of pollution prevention chemical/petroleum management and related control systems/processes as dictated by legal requirements and K-C Environmental Performance Standards.
Leadership Impact on Environmental and Safety Performance: Execute aspects of MBC (mindsets behaviors and capabilities) of leaders and the workforce outlined in the K-C EHS&S Maturity Model that can impact E&S performance.
Technical Risk Management: Address environmental and safety technical topics outlined by K-C Environmental and Occupational Safety Performance Standards and manage associated operation-specific risks.
Multi-Media Pollution Prevention: Execute aspects of multi-media pollution prevention chemical/petroleum management critical asset social compliance and related control systems/processes as dictated by legal requirements and K-C Environmental and other Performance Standards.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collaboration with site leaders: Collaborate with site leaders to address environmental and occupational safety risks and opportunities effectively.
Implementation of Environmental and Safety Strategies: Adopt and implement site E&S strategies and programs aligned with Global Sustainability Objectives.
Standardized Systems and Processes: Implement standardized systems processes platforms and programs to enhance E&S Performance at the site.
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards assess risks and implement preventive measures to mitigate them.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local national regulations and relevant Global Performance Standards concerning E&S.
Promotion Culture: Implement initiatives to promote employee well-being and foster a positive EHS&S culture at the site by supporting leadership mindsets and behaviors prioritizing health safety and environmental concerns.
Continuous Monitoring: Establish and maintain processes for continuous EHS&S monitoring and connected checking to proactively address emerging issues.
Integration of Best Practices: Stay informed about K-C operations best practices and integrate them into the sites EHS&S efforts and activities.
Partnering with Region/BU EHS&S Functional Leaders: Collaborate with Segment functional leaders to address E&S risks at the site including:
Risk Management: Identifying potential hazards assessing risks and implementing preventative measures to manage/mitigate these risks.
Compliance/Conformance: Regular monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of E&S systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Environment and Safety Culture Leadership: Actively promote and reinforce a positive environment and safety culture within the site by exemplifying leadership mindsets and behaviors that prioritize environment and safety.
Connected Checking and Monitoring: Oversee the effectiveness of environment and safety countermeasures and remedies making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
Key Decisions/Decision Rights:
Escalate any potential conditions or issues (related to non-compliance/non-conformance; EHS&S risks or impacts not sufficiently addressed; insufficient corrective actions or data quality/completeness concerns) that cannot be appropriately resolved locally within the site.
Determining relevance/materiality of sustainability issues/topics in the site (in a manner consistent with relevant Global sustainability relevance/materiality determinations).

To succeed in this role you will need the following qualifications:
Bachelors degree in environmental science/management safety industrial hygiene or related science/engineering field.
3 plus years of experience working in related roles for a global multi-site consumer goods or packaged goods organization preferably in heavy manufacturing.
Understanding of relevant environmental and occupational safety legal requirement related to ergonomics fire safety environment protection and sustainability.
Ability to effectively communicate with teams at all levels of the site across multiple mediums (oral or written) including site leadership

Salary Range:USDAt Kimberly-Clark pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve thrive and grow. Along with base pay this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as location role skills performance and experience.
