Job Summary

Position Summary: The Environmental Compliance Technician supports environmental compliance programs by conducting inspections managing waste activities collecting compliance data sampling maintaining environmental records and assisting with regulatory and Responsibilities:Conduct routine environmental inspections of manufacturing storage and waste management areas and associated reportingAssist with environmental audits agency inspections and compliance assessmentsCoordinate waste characterization profiling labeling storage and disposal activitiesConduct sampling for stormwater fenceline monitoring and waste characterizationMaintain and calibrate environmental monitoring equipmentAssist with maintenance of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) databaseAssist in preparing regulatory reports and permit-required submissionsTrack environmental performance metrics and support sustainability reporting initiativesAssist in developing and delivering environmental compliance training to site personnelParticipate in site HSE programs and continuous improvement effortsWork closely with operations maintenance and HSE personnel to improve environmental performanceUnderstand RCRA TSCA SARA applicability to site activitiesBasic Qualifications:Associate degree in Environmental Science Environmental Technology Chemistry Biology Occupational Safety or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance manufacturing industrial operations or related with generating routine regulatory reporting for air waste and waterAdditional Qualifications:Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and with RC14001 Responsible Care and ISO 9001May be required to work in adverse weather conditions (cold hot humid rain snow etc.)HAZWOPER 40 certificationAbility to climb stairs ladders and access elevated work to lift up to 50 pounds to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including respiratory protection when some activities such as stormwater sampling or turnaround support may be performed during a night shiftThe expected annual base pay for this position is $70000 $105000
