Job Summary
- Managing consultants to provide environmental due diligence for new site location
- Providing scope of work requesting bids analyzing bids selecting candidates and managing activities until tasks and reports are completed
- Creating budgets and creating and managing purchase orders invoices and payments
- Obtaining all necessary local state and federal permits and authorizations required to construct and operate a natural-gas-fired power plant and auxiliary activities. This includes oversight over but not limited to:
- Air dispersion modeling inputs and outputs
- Effluent discharge permit
- Well water permits
- FAA
- USACE Nationwide or Individual permits where applicable
- Managing continuous compliance reporting investigations and any other activities related to the day-to-day construction and operation of a electric generating facility
- Contribute to the development implementation and monitoring of facility-specific environmental plans such as SPCC waste management programs stormwater plants etc.
- Manage the environmental compliance program and its supporting policies procedures and monitoring platforms.
- Create and manage project budgets and forecasts
- Monitors standards development and revisions and communicates proposed changes to SMEs
- Acts as an internal resource for environmental incident investigations
- Actively provides corporate communications aimed at maintaining the climate of awareness and informing the status of compliance with requirements/standards
- Technical research and writing
- Manage all environmental aspects of all projects
- Manage all consultants performing environmental tasks
- Collaborate with other internal and external disciplines to provide a competitive and desirable data center destination
- Responsible for all environmental compliance monitoring recording and reporting activities
- Educate staff on new and/or future rules and regulations that may impact project construction or operation
- Five years of experience in environmental engineering compliance and management within the power generation industry.
- A science or engineering degree or background preferred
- The candidate must have legal authority to work permanently in the United States
- The preferred position location is Houston TX; however a remote work option will be considered whether in Houston or in the Continental United States
- Up to 25% travel
- Must read write and speak fluent English.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
