Entry Level Technician

The NNL electrical community maintains a suite of laboratories that are used to qualify Reactor Plant Instrumentation and Control (RPI&C) software and hardware enable swift response to fleet support activities and to support crew familiarization with RPI&C systems. The Bettis Shipboard Electrical Systems (SES) RPI&C infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining and modernizing the existing RPI&C test system infrastructure at Bettis site and in close collaboration with counterparts across the program developing testing qualifying and delivering the test infrastructure for the next generation of RPI&C systems.

The Bettis Infrastructure Development (BID) unit is looking for an entry level Technician in pursuit of the mission described above. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to executing common laboratory functions such as support of testing troubleshooting coordination and/or performance of periodic facility tests and preventative maintenance required to support a fully capable laboratory executing work packages required to maintain and modernize the labs test systems and test articles ensuring that work packages are performed safely and in compliance with company and Program requirements managing the calibration of test equipment and inventories of parts and equipment.

Interest in Control Systems.
Knowledge of practices to plan and execute operations work including electrical work.
