AECOM is hosting an exclusive invitation-only hiring event in Raleigh on October 28-29 2026. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.
The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects career paths and the company itself. Youll also have the chance to meet other students recent graduates and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.
On Thursday interviews will take place at our Raleigh office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Bridge Engineer to join our AECOM Transportation Department in either our Raleigh NC Greenville SC or Nashville TN office. AECOM is searching for candidates that can be creative and impactful on a wide range of transportation projects. Entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOMs Graduate Development Program (GDP) a program designed to support assimilation into the organization help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones) and with creating a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success.

As an Entry-Level Structural Engineer you will work with multi-discipline project teams in developing a range of engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction. This is a diverse role that will involve your contributions and insight into the effective delivery of the departments current and future portfolio of projects.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design of new bridges
- Design for bridge rehabilitation projects
- Development of bridge maintenance and repair plans
- Performing load ratings for bridges
- Design of transit structures
- Bridge inspection and evaluation
- Preparation of construction plans and specifications
- Preparation of cost estimates and schedules
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Registration as an E.I.T.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Flexibility to work on a variety of projects including highways and bridges
- Flexibility to occasionally travel (nights) and short-notice work assignments depending on bridge inspection needs.
- Must be detail oriented and demonstrate good problem solving ability.
- Good interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
- Masters Degree preferred.
- Previous experience with Internships.
- Software Experience: AutoCad Microstation MS Office and Structural Analysis Software experience.
