Responsibilities and Job Duties:
General knowledge of project search databases.
Communicate with partners and team members regarding new and current
projects.
Attend pre bid meetings and bid openings as required.
o Ability to read civil construction plans and specifications.
Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs in a timely manner utilizing Agtek suite.
Solicit subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate their proposals.
Prepare civil self-perform estimates in detail utilizing HCSS Heavy Bid software.
Manage bid pricing from all vendors and subcontractors.
Assist in preparation of technical proposals.
Prepare cost analysis of past projects and compare to current estimates.
Must be able to work as a team and communicate well internally and externally.
Ability to critically think and problem solve as a team member and an individual.

Qualifications
1-5 years experience in heavy civil estimating is required.
Engineering or CM degree a plus but not required. Relative experience is acceptable.
Experience with estimating projects above $5 million dollars is required.
Experience with reviewing bid documents and creating comprehensive takeoffs for
civil construction projects
Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid or similar estimating software is required.
Experience with takeoff software such as Agtek Carlson or Trimble is required.
Experience with Microsoft Suite is required.
Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is a plus.
Site Experience through internships field engineering or other active jobsite
experience is a plus.
