Entry-Level Drafter

LK Jordan is hiring on behalf of one of our clients in the Houston area for an Entry-Level Submittal Drafter.

Pay: $24/hr.

Schedule: Full-Time Monday Friday Main office hours are 7:00 AM 4:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Submittal Drafter to join a growing team. This role is ideal for someone with basic to intermediate AutoCAD experience and the ability to read architectural drawings accurately. The selected candidate will assist with creating detailed submittal packets elevation drawings and project documentation while collaborating closely with internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed elevation drawings based on architectural plans
• Read and interpret architectural drawings accurately
• Utilize AutoCAD to develop 2D elevations and details
• Collaborate with clients to ensure accuracy and completeness of submittal packets
• Apply product knowledge and dimensioning principles to drawings
• Review and revise drawings based on client feedback
• Generate spreadsheets for door frame systems and project openings
• Maintain organized project files drawings and documentation
• Work closely with team members to meet project deadlines and standards
  
  Qualifications
• Ability to read and navigate architectural drawings REQUIRED
• Basic to intermediate AutoCAD knowledge REQUIRED
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills REQUIRED
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt
• Strong understanding of basic office equipment
• Six months to one year of related experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
