Description
The Software Engineer develops maintains and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g. processing-intensiveanalytics novel algorithm development manipulation of extremelylarge data sets real-time systems and business managementinformation systems) based upon documented requirements. Worksindividually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests softwarecomponents for adherence to the design requirements and documentstest results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes softwaredevelopment and software design methodologies appropriate to thedevelopment environment. Provides specific input to the softwarecomponents of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs software reuse use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf(COTS) / Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of newdevelopment and requirements analysis and synthesis from systemlevel to individual software components.
Clearance
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
ExperienceSeven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

Experience
Required skills:
- Experience with scripting including Python or Java
- Experience with object-oriented languages including C
- Experience with containerization including Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with Agile Development
- Experience with evaluating operational and technical alternatives
- Knowledge of JIRA or Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
- Knowledge of source repositories including BitBucket or GitHub
Desired skills:
- Experience with software engineering methods real-time systems and signals analysis
- Experience with cloud
- Possession of excellent customer relationship skills including managing requirements for feature requests
