As an Architect specializing in Java Microservices you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable high-performance solutions for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect develop and optimize microservices-based applications that drive business value and innovation.

• Design and implement Java-based microservices architectures that are scalable resilient and high-performing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure best practices in microservices development including API design security and observability.
• Optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration with cloud-native technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends in Java microservices and cloud computing to drive continuous improvement.

• 8 years of experience in Java development with a strong focus on microservices architecture.
• Proven expertise in Spring Boot Spring Cloud and other Java-based frameworks for building microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka RabbitMQ etc.).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines automated testing and DevOps best practices.
• Proficiency using AI pair-programmers and engineering assistants (specifically GitHub Copilot and/or Claude Code) to optimize workflow efficiency and accelerate problem-solving
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

• Certifications in Java Spring or cloud platforms (AWS Certified Developer Azure Developer Associate etc.).
• Experience with serverless computing and event-driven microservices.
• Knowledge of distributed tracing logging and monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana Jaeger).
• Strong understanding of security best practices for microservices and cloud-native applications.

Salary Range: $135000 - $190000

The range shown represents a grouping of ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ depending on location and specific skillset required for the work.
