Enterprise Analytics Intern

Job Purpose

The Enterprise Analytics Intern will support business teams by transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across Hormel Foods. This role provides hands-on experience in analytics category management revenue growth management and sales performance reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and trends. The intern will develop analytical storytelling and problem-solving skills through meaningful projects that support enterprise growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze category consumer customer and sales performance data to identify trends opportunities and business risks
• Create and maintain dashboards scorecards and reports using enterprise analytics tools
• Support enterprise analytical initiatives through market consumer and competitive analysis
• Assist in developing recommendations that improve business performance market share and customer outcomes
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer key business questions from stakeholders
• Translate complex data findings into clear and compelling presentations for business partners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales Marketing Revenue Growth Management and Insights
• Monitor category and industry trends to provide actionable business recommendations
• Present project findings and recommendations to department leadership at the conclusion of the internship

Required Qualifications

• Must graduate between August 2027 December 2027 May 2028 with a Bachelors degree in Data Analytics Business Analytics Statistics Economics Professional Selling Marketing Business Administration or a related field with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables formulas and data analysis tools
• Possess knowledge of syndicated data spreadsheets databases and category management tools. Experience with PowerBI and Tableau or similar analytical tools would be beneficial.
• Experience working with large datasets and presenting findings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in consumer-packaged goods retail analytics category management or business intelligence preferred

Duration

Our summer internship program runs 10-12 weeks and starts in late May and ends in early August.

Hours

This is a temporary full-time hourly position. Interns can expect to work approximately 40 hours per week and may be eligible for overtime based on business needs.

• This is an on-site position based out of our office in Eden Prairie MN.
