SELECTION PROCEDURE: Individuals interested in employment are required to complete an official district application. Applicants are asked to describe any training education experience or skills relevant to this position. Resumes are optional. Applications will be screened based on the minimum qualifications shown for the position. Qualified candidates will be identified at each step of the selection process for further competition. Fingerprinting and criminal record checks will be done on all prospective employees.

NATURE AND SCOPE: Working under the supervision of the certificated site coordinator provides instruction works independently by managing classroom and students. Required to have a broad range of specialized skills and knowledge in order to provide instruction and maintain a classroom supportive of learning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree or one year of directly related experience may be substituted for each year of college plus two years of experience instructing students in the designated specialized area or successfully completing an in-service in classroom instruction.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements including Board of Trustee approval. As part of the selection process all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; and authorization to work (I-9).

PAY DAYS: Temporary employees are paid once a month on the 10th of the month.

The Enrichment Specialist classified positions are hired within the Afterschool Program. Hours may variety from 1 to 6 hour per week. Applicants are selected by the site coordinator on their sites provide instruction in a specialized area and require either a Bachelors degree plus two (2) years of experience instructing students in the designed specialized area OR six (6) years of experience instructing students in the designated specialized of Enrichment activities: cheerleading ceramics nutrition/cooking or computer classes P.E. which could include organized sports such as softball basketball or soccer. Other examples under the Fitness for Life program may include biking dance or AND SCOPE:Working under the supervision of the certificated site coordinator provides instruction works independently by managing classroom and students.
