Engineering Tools Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to manage a team of engineers and technical specialists to deliver high quality cost effective and timely engineering solutions to product engineering teams. Each day you will formulate plans and allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. You will also showcase your expertise by initiating coordinating driving and overseeing team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in North America. Main stakeholders are Product Management Engineering R&D and Manufacturing. .

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Providing direction to the engineering tools team with a focus on functional safety cybersecurity on time delivery quality and margin improvement.

• Ensuring the projects/ operations value chain portfolio follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures and that the projects are closed as per the contract specifications.

• Initiating coordinating driving and overseeing continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering / design capability and efficiency utilize agile methodologies to reduce engineering lead time and enhance functional safety and cybersecurity.

• Driving team performance to ensure that the deliverables are met on time and as per the set contract specifications and safety cyber security and quality requirements.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors Degreein Engineering Computer Science Physics or Mathematics.

• Ability to demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in electrical distribution.

• You are engaged in working with product engineering and/or engineering tools maintenance and development the Electrical Distribution market.

• Highly adept in ePlan or other electrical CAD product configurators and/or documentation automation.

• You are passionate about project management leadership and mentorship.

• Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US.
