Job Summary:

This position serves as a front office assistant providing clerical support and excellent customer service in the Engineering Technology Office working directly under the Engineering Technology Department Chair and the Engineering Technologys Office Coordinator.

Coverage needed in various shifts M-F 8am-5pm in average of 8-10 hours/-person only. Currently recruiting to start as soon as possible in Fall 2026. Please indicate your current and/or anticipated class schedule in cover letter.

Job Duties:

Duties include: answering and directing incoming phone calls; addressing and assisting guests students faculty staff and the general public; running errands; Picking up and distributing packages as well as dispensing mail and other general office duties; setting up conference room for meetings and presentations; assisting with general hosting; assisting with Department events to include some moderate lifting and moving as needed

• Able to apply good judgement tact and discretion while working with confidential information and high level visitors
• Able to remain focused in a fast paced academic environment with many interruptions
• Attention to details highly organized and thorough completion of projects

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic knowledge of office equipment: telephones printers photocopier etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds run errands and able to assist in the setup of events and meetings.
