Engineering Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Hydraulic Supply Company (HSC) a division of Motion Industries is seeking a Hydraulic Technical Support Specialist based in West Palm Beach Florida to work to work with our sales and engineering teams. This is an opportunity for a motivated and talented candidate to grow with a great team and a very successful company. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer technical questions about fluid power from internal and external customers
• Design basic hydraulic systems to meet customer requirements
• Cross-over components from other manufacturers to current supplier part numbers
• Interface with engineering build shop customer service and sales teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Fluid power knowledge/experience required
• Work will mostly consist of sitting in front of a computer on the telephone
• Excellent telephone and e-mail skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with common office software applications (Outlook Word etc.)
• Familiarity with internet search engines and how to find information with them
• CAD experience a plus
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills as required
