Salary Range:70000-$80000 DOE

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team.

Summary:
The primary function of this position is to support door design and doors in operation by optimizing current door design and new products. You will work hands-on partnering with teams across various functions to troubleshoot repair doors install new systems and help drive technological advancements.

Essential Duties:

  1. Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  2. Identify and troubleshoot faults in electromechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Develop detailed mechanical drawings using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks).
  4. Conduct engineering tests to verify system functionality and performance.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation of all work completed ensuring compliance with standards.
  6. Collaborate effectively with the engineering team to drive project success.
  7. Collaborate across all departments to ensure effective and efficient designs.
  8. Assist in research and development of new products and designs.

Competencies Required:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with VFDs AC/DC motors Relays Sensors & hydraulics
  • Experience integrating and troubleshoot PLC/HMI programming
  • Metal fabrication (welding machining assembly)
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Basic computer networking skills
  • Has a high level of attention to detail organization and follow-through skills.
  • Have prompt and reliable attendance.
Travel:
This position requires limited travel to door installations as necessary to troubleshoot and document findings.

Education & Experience:
High School or GED required. Two-year technical degree preferred (Mechatronics Automation or similar field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties as listed above.
