The City of Bothell is hiring an Engineering Technicianto support Public Works projects including transportation Capital Improvement Plan and construction. This role assists with design GIS/AutoCAD work cost estimates field data collection and project documentation to support the delivery of civil engineering projects.

Note: This position will be fully onsite for the first six months after which eligibility for a hybrid work schedule may be considered.
What will you do in this position
- Provide technical support to Public Works engineering programs including transportation planning the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and construction projects; performs assigned duties within the scope of authority training and area of responsibility with duties varying by assignment.
- Assist engineering staff in preparing designs graphics specifications cost estimates and technical documentation for Public Works projects.
- Conduct research analysis and reviews of plans reports specifications proposals and estimates to support project development and ensure quality standards are met.
- Support planning design coordination and inspection of CIP transportation utility and other civil engineering projects; exchanges technical information with regional agencies businesses and external partners.
- Assist in developing technical drawings maps and GIS data using established GIS and AutoCAD systems; collects verifies and performs quality control on spatial data.
- Participate in field data collection activities including traffic studies and site inspections to verify conditions and ensure compliance with City standards.
