• Work with a team of talented engineers and product managers to drive growth solve user problems and deliver operational excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines time zones and across the company to achieve the best outcomes for our users.
• Build the plans rhythm and support for your team to deliver its best work.
• Contribute to the broader Tax Engineering organization through technical leadership process and tooling improvements.
• Lead coach retain and recruit engineers on the team.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripes engineering management team.

Who you are

Minimum requirements

Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field plus ten (10) years of experience in Software Engineering of which at least 5 years must be post bachelors progressive experience.

Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:

• Managing building and leading engineering teams delivering software products;
• Applying hands-on technical expertise at scale to guide architecture and technical strategy resolutions in collaboration with staff engineers;
• Designing delivering and operating business critical services at scale;
• User-facing product front-end and back-end services scaling database systems and API design on a team of 4- 8 engineers;
• Designing and building services in monolithic and multi service architectures; and
• Devops and operational ownership from standing up observability posture through managing and iterating on operational rigor and on call health.

Salary: $274456 - $321800/yr.

This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets if applicable would be in addition to the base salary.

40 hrs/week

100% Telecommuting permitted.
