This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS) a business group within HIIs Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.
HII works within our nations intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. HII - Mission Technologies is excited to hire a part-time intern to support our Spectrum Operations. This is a 10-20 hour per week opportunity and is located in Annapolis Junction MD.
This internship is designed for rising college juniors or seniors pursuing a bachelors degree in Software Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field.
Intern Level 3 - $20.91 - $33.00 per hour
Intern Level 4 - $30.63 - $38.48 per hour
- Internships are available to help students gain real-world experience in the work force.
- Contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership.
- Support the Engineering team with engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics electrical mechanical civil naval and/or chemical. Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support.
- Duties may be administrative to include document control.
- LEVEL 3 - High School Diploma or equivalent Must be working towards a Bachelors degree with between 40% and 60% of the required credits completed.
- LEVEL 4 - High School Diploma or equivalent Must be working towards a Bachelors degree with more than 60% of the required credits completed.
Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
