Engineering and Maintenance Manager

As an Engineering and Maintenance Manager at Avery Dennison you will play a critical leadership role in driving operational efficiency continuous improvement and technological development across our manufacturing facility. You will lead and challenge controls engineering project engineering and maintenance teams while acting as a core member of the plant leadership team to align engineering initiatives with business strategy and plant goals.

Key Responsibilities:

This position operates on-site at our Concord and Painesville OH manufacturing facilities.

• Promote safety as the most important value in the organization by actively contributing through training project management and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) responsibilities.

• Lead develop and mentor controls engineering project engineering and maintenance teams to drive process improvements asset reliability and continuous improvement guided by site priorities.

• Act as a core member of the plant leadership team and collaborate cross-functionally across site and divisional functions to align engineering and maintenance goals with broader business objectives.

• Lead project delivery cost center financial management and capital project execution to achieve target results in safety quality operating costs and customer fulfillment.

• Partner with maintenance to oversee work order systems spare parts inventory contractor management and direct hands-on support to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize asset performance.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Controls Mechanical Chemical or Industrial Engineering preferred; other engineering degrees will be considered.

• 5 years of experience in project engineering plant maintenance or an engineering leadership role in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systems including automation control PLCs drives sensors and facilities systems.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with proven success managing multiple concurrent priorities project portfolios and cross-functional team collaboration.

• Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (Green or Black Belt preferred) and experience with TPM program implementation or management.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $120000 - $170000/ year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range and in some circumstances may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant skills experience education and training and location as well as the job scope and complexity responsibilities and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position which may change depending on the candidate pool.
