Job Summary:
The Engineer II is responsible for the implementation of the entire project cycle and provides engineering support for operating assets.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements entire project cycle for projects of moderate size and complexity including design development material procurement construction and project completion.
- Communicates with company personnel and contractors for project implementation.
- Prepares technical construction specifications for individual projects.
- In facility planning role prepares and presents pipeline simulation results for new and expansion projects.
- Reviews project plans and details for code compliance proper company and safety standards and good engineering practices.
- Evaluates project bids and makes material selections.
- Effectively manages budgets timelines and problem resolution related to multiple projects.
- Provides engineering and troubleshooting support for operating assets.
- Manages and executes small to medium projects.
- Participates in PSM activities such as PHA/LOPAs PSSRs and MOC processes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in engineering principles and practices relevant to the energy sector.
- Experience in project management including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong technical skills in areas such as design construction and operation of energy infrastructure.
- Knowledge of relevant codes regulations and industry standards.
- Ability to analyze and solve technical problems related to energy systems and equipment.
- Experience with engineering software and tools used in the energy industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a focus on achieving project goals and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage project documentation and requirements effectively.
- Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship in engineering practices.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in engineering required
- Previous natural gas industry experience required
- 3 years of engineering project management experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with engineering analysis including specialty software
Certifications:
- None required
Physical Demands and Hazard for Field Employees:
This position may require occasional travel to remote sites potential exposure to flammable material adherence to safety protocols compliance with operating regulations and will require rigorous physical demands.
