Job Summary
All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data reliability availability maintenance safety and other performance parameters. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the installed fleet through customer issue resolution fleet-wide issue management service bulletin implementation monitoring and diagnostics and fleet configuration. Maintain fleet data manage outages and ensure the accuracy and integrity of fleet information.
- Provide Technical Engineering Solutions / Repairs / Escalation for issues that have been problematic and escalated from Services team
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- Understands how team contributions integrate with other business functions to achieve collective area goals.
- Offers the opportunity for independent decision-making within defined technical boundaries with the potential for greater autonomy as experience is gained.
- Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
- Consults with senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the opportunity to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Manages customer relationships by serving as the central point of contact for technical inquiries ensuring complex information is communicated with clarity and professional precision.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
OR a High school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of experience in the Wind Turbine Industry
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
- Experience with mechanical subsystems (e.g. gearbox main bearing pitch bearing bolted joints yaw system etc.) of a wind turbine.
- Willing and able to climb and work at heights as needed (5-10% of the time)
- Ability to present technical data in a succinct and clear manner
- Technical versatility experience with wind turbine production and performance
- Ability to learn technology outside of ones specialty
- Strong Project Management Skills
