Engineer Embedded Software 3

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Engineer Embedded Software 3 in Rolling Meadows Illinois for a one year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support the RF Software department and will serve on-site at Rolling Meadows. The role involves designing developing operating and maintaining software components and computing systems software for engineering scientific and manufacturing requirements.

Required Skills

• STEM degree
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming in C11
• Experience testing debugging and integrating embedded software on target hardware using real-time operating systems
• Active Secret Clearance
• U.S. citizenship

Preferred Skills

• BS in Software Engineering Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Batch
• Experience with software development methodologies and frameworks such as Agile in a team environment
• Experience testing debugging and integrating embedded software on target hardware using VxWorks
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capability
• Strong interpersonal communication skills

What Youll Do

• Design develop operate and maintain software components and computing systems software
• Apply appropriate standards processes procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle
• Support the generation of engineering applications and products including laboratory simulation systems aircraft protection and display systems and electrical systems
• Interface with other engineering functions and program staff
• Test debug and integrate embedded software on target hardware using real-time operating systems
