Scout Motorsis seeking a technical lead to drive module software requirements across the vehicle.The feature/function requirements decomposed to the module-level need to be capturedand managedformallyinQLAH which will include subsystem block diagrams maincomponents connectivity power paths communication buses interface relationships data/control flow anda signal-level block diagram including all input/output signals. Network management and modesclarity is a focus domain including network management sleep/wake-up vehicle mode support (Service Transport Production OTA) and booting process for each module.You will become the subject matter expert(SME)for module software requirements and will coach design and release engineers across the organization. You will need todevelop strong relationships across thehardware team system engineers and feature/function owners.The ideal candidate has deep experience deliveringquality requirements andestablishing engineering governancewithdigital threadtools.

• Governance Master: Establish engineering governance design reviews andtechnical decision-making frameworks to support timely vehicle system execution
• QualityOrchestrationShifted Left:Use system experience to drive architectural enhancements to improvequality through diagnostics andpreventative maintenance
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary liaison betweenArchitecture and cross-domainSystems Engineeringteamstoresolve blockers
• Precision Communication: Translating complex technical risks into clear Go/No-Go decisions for executive stakeholders.
• Process Architect: A passion for automating manual workflows to reduce human error in the release chain.
• Technical Interface: Interface with electrical design teams software developers calibration engineers and supplier integration teams to align dependencies.

Location & Travel Expectations:

• This role may be based out of theScout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte NC.
• This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and events.
• Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.

• Masters degree in Electrical EngineeringMechatronicsComputer Engineering Computer Science or a related fieldwith12 experience
• Expert atautomotive system/platformdevelopment and modeling particularly in the earlypart of the System V
• Experience delivering platforms reused across multiple Vehicle programs
• Background in autonomous vehicles robotics or advanced mobility systems
• Background with cloud-connected embedded systems and modern DevOps pipelines
• Expert invehicleelectricalarchitecture/topologyand ECU-level software stacks automotive communication protocols (CAN LIN FlexRay Ethernet) UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
• Strongknowledge of Jira GitHub/GitLab Jenkins and in Siemens Polarion IBM DOORS Next Gen or PTC Windchill.
• Strong understanding development and verification of plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environment dSpace control desk and automation desk
• Strong understanding of 1st principles in Engineering result/solution oriented.
• Familiarity with SW for embedded systems EE systems and architecture
• Familiarity with A2B CAN Automotive Ethernet LIN LVDS communication protocols and Vehicle Network tools such as CANalyzer CANoe etc.
• Expertise with complex problem solving data analysis access/interpret/drive results with extended teams.
• Knowledge of Automotive design and development process system requirements and general engineering best practices
• Recognized system/controls industry thought leader (awards keynote speaking standards participation

This is a full-time exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $160000.00 - $192500.00
