Endoscopy Technician Apprentice

Launch your healthcare career through our Endoscopy Technician Apprenticeship program. During this 12-month apprenticeship youll receive hands-on training and mentorship while learning the skills and procedures performed by Endoscopy Technicians at both St. Cloud Hospital and CentraCare Plaza. Upon successful completion of the program youll advance to the next level of the position.

As an Endoscopy Technician Apprentice youll work alongside physicians and nurses playing an active role in procedures such as endoscopies colonoscopies bronchoscopies and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Youll also support patients throughout their experience helping them feel informed comfortable and cared for.

In addition youll help ensure patient safety by performing high-level disinfection cleaning and maintenance of specialized endoscopic equipment and scopes supporting infection prevention and quality care.

This role is an excellent entry point into healthcare and offers valuable clinical experience. Many healthcare professionals including nurses and physicians began their careers in roles like this one.

• Schedule
  • Part-time 32-48 hours every two weeks Onsite
  • Monday-Friday varying 9-hour daytime shifts
  • Every 4th weekend 2-3 holidays per year
  • Off-premises on-call 3-5 times per month with a 45-minuteresponse time
  • Shifts will be scheduled at both St Cloud Hospital & CentraCare Plaza
• Pay and Benefits
  • The pay for the apprenticeship is: $21.00 per hour
  • Applicable weekend & holiday differentials are available

• Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required; can be obtained internally upon hire
  • Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) certification within three years of hire (you will beassisted in obtaining this certification)

I love working in Endoscopy because of the diversity that the job the flexibility to switch up what Im doing from a day-to-day basis plays a big role in breaking up the stereotypical 9-5 day I might be in the back room helping to reprocess scopes the next day I can be side by side with the doctors and nurses assisting with direct patient care.I always knew that I wanted to be in a healthcare setting but I struggled with what it was that I was being an Endoscopy Technician and not needing any previous experience it was a great way to open the door to endless options in the healthcare field.I can finally say that I truly love my job!
