Job Summary
PGS Worldwide is seeking Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineer in Fort Wayne Indiana for an approximately six-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will develop and integrate real-time embedded software supporting advanced communications navigation and electronic warfare systems. Engineers will collaborate closely with systems hardware and test teams throughout requirements development design implementation integration verification and test.
Required Skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree 6 years with a masters degree or 4 years with a PhD.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required to start.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Strong C software development experience.
- Experience with embedded and/or application software development.
- Real-time embedded software development experience.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented design and implementation principles.
- Experience with software and systems engineering processes methodologies and tools.
- Experience performing software testing verification and validation.
- Experience supporting software integration and test activities.
- Strong technical problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with systems hardware software and test engineering teams.
Preferred Skills
- Full software development lifecycle experience.
- C# Python and/or Java experience.
- Experience with Green Hills and/or VxWorks.
- Windows and Linux development experience.
- Experience with continuous-integration tools and processes.
- Git experience.
- Jira and Confluence experience.
- Agile software development experience.
- Experience designing and implementing software algorithms.
What Youll Do
- Develop real-time embedded and application software in C.
- Participate in requirements development software design implementation integration and test.
- Collaborate with systems hardware and test engineers throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Develop software using object-oriented design principles.
- Perform software testing validation and verification.
- Support integration of software with complex electronic systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and system-level technical issues.
- Prepare software design development and project documentation.
- Follow established software engineering processes and development standards.
- Support algorithm design and implementation.
- Participate in Agile development activities and configuration-management processes.
- Contribute to technical solutions supporting advanced communications navigation and electronic warfare applications.
Work Schedule / Shift
- First shift MondayFriday.
- 9/80 work schedule.
- Approximately 8:00 AM5:00 PM.
- Full-time onsite in Fort Wayne Indiana.
- Overtime may be required.
- No travel expected.
Pay
- $68.11 per hour.
